LANDSCAPES & LOOKING - 4TH GOOD REASON TO VISIT ZUMBERAK  This Sunday we had an interesting event in Žumberak, the religious holiday of St. Nicholas in the church of St. Nicholas in the local place Badovinci. This holiday marks the transfer of the bones of this saint from his native town Myra in Asia Minor to Bari in Italy, where they are still preserved today. This religious feast has long been celebrated here, especially in the local Greek Catholic church of St. Nicholas, what is also the occasion to meet many local residents and friends of Zumberak. The Holy Mass was led by the local parish priest of Zumberak Marjan Jeftimov, and after the Mass cultural program with music and a local folklore group was held in front of the church, as you can see in these pictures. ...

Evo što kažu zadovoljni gosti hostela Flores u Žumberku, ovdje je korisno dodati da ovaj turistički objekt može dati smještaj i onim osobama koje imaju otežano kretanje. VIDIKOVCI I POGLEDI, ČETVRTI DOBAR RAZLOG ZA POSJETITI ŽUMBERAK  Ove nedjelje imali smo zanimljiv događaj u Žumberku, vjersko proštenje svetog Nikole u crkvi svetog Nikole u lokalnom mjestu Badovinci, kojom se obilježava prijenos kosti tog sveca iz rodnog grada u maloj Aziji u Italiju gdje se i danas čuvaju. Taj vjerski blagdan se ovdje već dugo obilježava, osobito u mjesnoj grkokatoličkoj crkvi sv. Nikole, što je prigoda da se tu susretnu i brojni stanovnici i prijatelji Žumberka. Svetu misu je vodio mjesni župnik za područje Žumberka Marjan Jeftimov, a na poljani ispred crkve održan je i kulturni program s glazbom i lokalnom folklornom grupom, kao što možete vidjeti na ovim slikama.
